A multi-component method for the description of the evolution of the grain size distribution in consideration of a size dependent grain drift and growth rate is applied in order to model dust driven winds around cool C-stars.

Abstract:
By applying a new computational multi-component method for the modelling of dust grain processing to a protostellar accretion shock we gain insight on the exact evolution of the grain size distribution function in the postshock region, where various processes act size-dependently on the grains.
